The Rohde & Schwarz HMC8015 is a compact AC/DC power analyser, which can perform various power measurements completely stand-alone for long periods of time, but can also be connected to a PC for extensive operation.
The meters can display 26 parameters and have a very high measuring resolution. Optionally, current clamps and other measuring equipment can be connected to the meter. These measurements can be displayed on the screen 10 measurements at once, and are updated 10 times per second.
The meters have USB-TMC and Ethernet/LXI connectors, and can optionally be equipped with a GPIB connector. Via the USB connector it is possible to log data on a USB stick for a longer period of time. It is also possible to operate the devices remotely via LAN or USB via Labview, for example.
This product is the only power analyser in its class that has a 5V measurement range which offers embedded designers very high resolution for power and energy analyses. With the HOC151 option the device is also unique by graphically displaying harmonics and graphic trend plots of U,I,P,S, Q and F values.

The power analysers in the Rhode&Schwarz HMC8015 series are delivered with:
There are some optional software functions available for these power analysers. In the manual you can find out exactly what functionality each option consists of. Below is a brief overview. The options can be checked with the product, or added at a later date.
| HOC151Advanced analysis | This option expands the analysis capabilities with various peak detections, current/voltage plots and up to 50 harmonics. In addition, it is possible to measure the power-on characteristic by 'Inrush', where the device records a fixed time after triggering. Examples of the graphical possibilities can be seen in the images. |
| HOC152I/O option | Sensors such as current probes can be used with this option. In addition, the option Pass/Fail indication brings to 6 factors at the same time. |
| HOC153Compliance | This option provides tools for compliance testing on IEC62301, EN50564 and EN61000-3-2. |
| HZC815Plug socket | This option can be seen in the images. The option offers a simple solution to connect a device to the power analyser, in the form of an electrical socket. |
