These GW Instek GKT-008 EMI probes offer highly reliable results with every measurement. Due to their design, the probes are much less dependent on position and orientation when making measurements. Conventional probes offer completely different measurement results if they are oriented in different ways in relation to the measurement object. These probes do not have that problem. In contrast to for example the Beehive probes, which do suffer from this principle.
The set consists of 4 probes which are delivered in a case. The case contains a large and a small field sensor, an AC voltage probe and an EMI source contact probe. It also contains an SMA - N type adapter and an SMA cable. The EMI contact probe is meant to measure the contacts or traces by touching them.
The GKT-008 provides all the necessary components to turn a GSP-9300 spectrum analyser into an EMI compliance tester. With the included "SpectrumShot" software, data can easily be stored or displayed. In addition, you can select which restrictions have to be met in order to see if the measuring object is functioning correctly.
